Warning: Absconding Emo

I told myself that I'll stop skipping photos and pushing them till they are so old that I won't bother to ever dig them out to write an entry about. I haven't been taking many photos recently. Sometimes I find myself asking... why do I take photos? What happens to photos when I take them and then don't blog about them? They'll probably never be looked at more than twice, and put away into a hard disk upon backup... and truth be told, I haven't actually been bored enough to look through my backups from last year, or the year before, or the years before.

Blogging means having them readily available to jolt my memory that I've been to this place, eaten this, experienced this, had a special occasion which went like this... but then again, I don't go into the history of my blog much, and have thought more than once of just closing this thing down and be done with it.

Then again, I've always kept a diary since small. I went back to read the diaries I wrote back when I was about 6 or 7... gosh, I was the most egocentric, vain little kid that deserved a good smacking. I can't bring myself to get rid of them though, even though almost all the entries are about how I dislike someone, or how I'm the best. Ha.

Probably by now, you'd have realised I'm merely posting pictures for the sake of posting pictures. This was another one of those coupon meals which my brother took me to at Duck King, Newtown. Apparently, it was supposed to be an all-you-can-eat dumpling thing.

From 117___05
Didn't really happen exactly that way... the waitress just kept bringing dish after dish out without asking what we wanted, which was fine.

Food was very normal though, as in it was nothing special... typical home style cooking actually, or should I say, typical Shang Hai restaurant type food.

From 117___05
I didn't have room to eat this, so I kinda dissected it, ate the crispy bit and the meat inside, and hid the rest of the skin in one of those steamers, Mr Bean style.

Would have been nice if it was a dumpling buffet though, never been to one before. I'd only order steamed dumplings and XLB. More XLB.... and more XLB. Honestly though, their XLB wasn't special either.

See. All deflated =( Deflated XLB is a sad XLB. I don't think this place is actually worth another visit... there are so many Shanghainese restaurants out there, especially in Eastwood and in the city, with much better service and food. At least for the coupon price though, it wasn't entirely bad.

Anyway, back on the original topic, I guess it'd be nice to at least have the photos up in a blog. Until blogspot closes this site down, I guess there's at least some sort of history being left of the many passing days... and of the ones to come... *emo*
